Chandanpura is being developed as a community-based rural tourism destination where travellers can experience the natural beauty, traditions and everyday life of Bundelkhand while staying with local families.
Five homestays have been developed in the village to provide welcoming accommodation while creating meaningful livelihood opportunities for participating households. The individual homestays retain their own identity, while this portal brings them together under one common destination platform.
A collaborative rural tourism initiative
The Chandanpura Homestays initiative has been developed by Haritika NGO with support from the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and the LTM CSR Foundation. Together, the initiative seeks to build a locally owned tourism ecosystem that strengthens household livelihoods while offering travellers an authentic experience of rural Madhya Pradesh.
